报告题目:Stability and Regularity Analysis for an Abstract System of Coupled Hyperbolic and Parabolic Equations with/without Inertia 

内容简介:In this presentation, we provide a complete regularity analysis for an abstract system of coupled hyperbolic and parabolic equations, where operate A is a self-adjoint, positive definite operator on a complex Hilbert space H. We are able to partition the region E into subregions where the semigroup associated with the system is exponentially stable, polynomially stable, analytic, of specific order Gevrey classes, and non-smoothing, respectively. Moreover, by a detailed spectral analysis, we will show that the orders of polynomial stability and Gevrey class are optimal.

 

报告人简介:Zhuangyi Liu美国明尼苏达大学数学与统计系终身教授,Zhuangyi Liu教授在偏微分方程和控制理论领域出版两部专著,在JDE,SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization,SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis,  SIAM Applied Math., ZAMP,ZAMM等发表高质量研究论文70余篇,是美国数学会AMS,美国工业与应用数学会SIAM的会员。
